President's Message

     I am honored and humbled to have been chosen to serve our community as Board of Education President.  Ensuring that the children of Rockaway Borough receive a quality education is a responsibility that I take extremely seriously.  In these unprecedented times of budget cuts and reductions in state aid, the Board Members and I are working hard to ensure that our children will continue to receive the quality education that we have come to expect in Rockaway Borough.  Our mission continues to be to create an environment that fosters academic success, creativity, and confidence through quality instruction and educational opportunities that are aligned with the State of New Jersey’s Core Curriculum Standards. 

     It is with the greatest confidence in our administration and faculty that the Board members and I make difficult decisions about how to allocate limited resources.  In the same regard, it is with great confidence that we enter into a partnership with a community that values education and has always supported our schools as evidenced by the unfaltering support of our school budget and the establishment of an Educational Foundation to help raise funds to support the schools.  Educating our youth is no small job and we are fortunate to have a village of people supporting our students, our families, and our community. 

     We at the Board of Education appreciate the continued support of the community and pledge to always keep the best interest of the students and our community in mind.
